Conferences & Professional Training

Czech Gulf Alliance organises professional conferences, training programmes and working visits between the Czech Republic and the Gulf, and runs the practical side of them in both directions.

What this part of the Alliance does

Professional exchange between two countries usually fails on logistics rather than on interest. A useful programme needs hosts who are willing, a subject both sides recognise, dates that survive two calendars, and somebody who can hold a room together across two languages.

We put those programmes together. That covers conferences and professional events, training for medical and technical specialists, attendance at exhibitions, and the working visits that follow when two organisations decide they want to keep talking.

We are an organiser and a coordinator, not a teaching institution. The content of a programme, and any certificate that comes out of it, belong to the professionals and institutions delivering it. Our part is making the programme happen and making it work for people arriving from another country.

Who this is for

  • Medical and technical professionals

Specialists looking for training, observation or professional exchange in the Czech Republic, or for a programme brought to them in the Gulf.

  • Companies and organisations

Organisations that want to present their work to the other market, attend an exhibition there, or bring a group to meet counterparts face to face.

  • Institutions and professional bodies

Bodies on either side looking for a counterpart to exchange knowledge with, and for someone to handle the arrangements around that exchange.

What we organise

Programmes are built around the subject and the audience. Nothing here is a fixed format you have to fit into.

Conferences and professional events

We organise professional conferences and smaller specialist sessions that bring Czech and Gulf participants into the same room, in either direction.

That means agreeing the subject and the format with the people who will speak, finding and securing a venue, building a schedule that works for participants travelling in, and running the event on the day.

  • Defining the subject, format and audience with the hosts
  • Venue, scheduling and supplier coordination
  • Participant registration and communication before the event
  • Coordination on the day, in the languages the room needs

Professional and medical training

Training programmes are arranged with the Czech institutions and specialists who deliver them, for professionals travelling from the Gulf — or built as a programme delivered to a group in their own country.

We establish what is actually available for a given specialty and timeframe before anything is promised, then handle the arrangements around it: scheduling, materials, interpreting and the practical side of a group's stay.

  • Establishing what is available for a specialty and timeframe
  • Arranging the programme with the institutions delivering it
  • Preparing and translating programme materials
  • Practical coordination for the group throughout

Exhibitions and working visits

Trade exhibitions and sector events are where most first meetings between two markets actually happen. We arrange attendance or participation, and prepare the meetings that make the trip worth taking.

When a group travels to meet counterparts directly, we build the programme around the purpose of the visit: who is worth meeting, in what order, and what needs to be understood before anyone sits down.

  • Arranging attendance or participation at sector events
  • Preparing the meeting programme around the visit's purpose
  • Briefing both sides on what to expect from the other
  • Interpreting and practical support throughout the visit

After the programme

An event that ends at the closing session has not achieved much. Where participants want to continue working together, we stay in contact with both sides and help the next step happen.

Depending on what the programme was for, that might be a follow-up visit, an introduction into another part of the Alliance's work, or simply keeping a conversation alive across a time difference and two languages.

How it works

Three steps, with a person on the other end of each of them.

  1. Tell us what you have in mind

The subject, roughly who should be in the room, and when. If you are looking for training, the specialty matters more than the date.

  2. We establish what is possible

We find out what hosts, institutions and venues can actually support, and come back with a programme you can decide on — including the parts that turn out not to be feasible.

  3. We build it and run it

Scheduling, venue, materials, interpreting and participant communication, through to coordination on the day and the follow-up afterwards.

Support services we can arrange

A programme that runs across two languages needs one of the Alliance's cross-cutting services in particular.

  • Translation

Document translation between Arabic, Czech and English, and interpreting when you need to be understood in person — at appointments, meetings and official appointments alike.

Common questions

Do you deliver the training yourselves?

No. We organise and coordinate programmes; the teaching, the clinical or technical content and any certificate that follows belong to the institutions and professionals delivering them. We do not accredit training or award professional qualifications.

Where do the events take place?

In either direction. A programme can be held in the Czech Republic for participants travelling from the Gulf, or organised in the Gulf for Czech participants and speakers travelling out.

Do you publish a calendar of upcoming events?

Not on this site yet. Tell us the subject you are interested in and we will come back to you when something relevant is being planned.

Can you arrange training for a specific specialty?

We can find out. What is possible depends on the institutions involved and on timing, so we establish that first and tell you plainly whether it can be done before anything is arranged.

Which languages can a programme run in?

Arabic, Czech and English. Interpreting during sessions and translation of programme materials are arranged as part of the programme, not left to participants.

How far ahead should we start?

Earlier than feels necessary — hosts, venues and specialists are committed well in advance. Tell us the timeframe you have in mind and we will tell you whether it is realistic rather than assume it is.

Planning a conference, training programme or visit?

Tell us the subject and who should be in the room. We will come back with what the Alliance can organise, and what it cannot.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us what you need and we will point you to the right part of the Alliance.
